Rosé is the official drink of the summer (although this season the major trend seems to be frosé – a wine slushy!). Here on Pipe & Drape, we have compiled your ultimate guide to Rosé wines to keep you hydrated through Labor Day. Cheers and as they say, “Yes Way Rosé!”

  1. Chateau d’Esclans Whispering Angel Rosé – this is a cult favorite…and rightfully so! It should be in everyone’s wine cellar, especially in the summertime.
  2. Miraval Rosé Côtes de Provence – with delicate notes of raspberries, peaches and white flowers, this Rosé is just divine!
  3. Boathouse Vineyards “License to Chill”  – If you are visiting Northern Michigan, you must take a ride to Lake Leelanau to visit the Boathouse Tasting Room for a taste of this Rosé. Estate grown with 100% Pinot Noir Grapes, this crisp Rosé is highly aromatic with aromas of strawberry and cherry.
  4. Crios Rosé of Malbec – we love this wine for the great taste and the great price point!
  5. Bower’s Harbor Vineyards 2896 Langley Rosé -another Northern Michigan recommendation! You can’t go wrong with Bowers Harbors’ Rose varieties. The 2896 in particularly has hints of mineralogy mixed with  flavors of dragon fruit, pomegranate, and melon and finished with a peppercorn spice. Definitely one to add to your list before summer’s end!
  6. Gerard Bertrand Cote des Roses Rosé – This Rosé was made “to celebrate the mediterranean lifestyle.” According to the winemaker, the bouquet releases aromas of summer fruits, cassis and redcurrant. This is one of Libby, our all-star intern’s favorites!
  7. Lazy Creek Vineyards Rosé of Pinot Noir – Pale pink in color, this Rosé from Anderson Valley is light and delicious. You will detect notes of rose petal, pink grapefruit, fresh strawberries and orange creamsicle balanced by lemon zest for a crisp finish.
  8. Club W x Yes Way Rosé Summer Water – How perfect is the name “Summer Water?” This Rosé is filled with notes of white flowers, raspberry and citrus that infuse the wine with flavor and is the perfect match for any summer day. They also have an adorable shop filled with Rosé – inspired items!
  9. Wolfed Estate’s Summer in a Bottle – Like a sunset in the summer, this rosé has a pinkish-orange hue with notes of cantaloupes, pear and peach. Plus we love the packaging!
