The groom’s childhood summertime retreat in Empire, Michigan on Glen Lake provided the striking backdrop for Tricia and Dave’s wedding. During the ceremony, the literary passionate couple recited their poetry laced vows under a handmade arbor constructed from birch branches and draped with morning glory. Immediately following, cocktail hour took place on the deck with the large side lawn being occupied by the dinner and dancing tent.
The event design and décor was anchored by shades of blues and yellows combined with multicolored floral. A bit of whimsy was incorporated with a recurring bluebird graphic and faux insects scattered about the centerpieces. In lieu of favors the bride and groom provided their guests with a cookie bar for late night snacking. The wedding party and guests danced the night away under a shower of lasers, lights and techno tunes provided by the dj.
