Jetting across the country from one bay to the next, Lindsay and Craig traveled from the coastal city of San Francisco to the rural town of Cedar, Michigan for their June wedding. Reflecting the importance of friends and family, their day represented not only their love for one another, but also the guests who traveled to join them.
The bride, with a Masters in Art, was inspired by the beautiful early summer landscapes of Northern Michigan. Crooked Creek Ranch gave the perfect foundation for their sweet, elegant, home grown affair. Textured burlap linens, delicate, soft-hued floral in aged terra cotta vessels, sapling wrapped tent poles, and the bride’s hand painted table signs each made up a layer to overall shabby chic feeling. Instead of the traditional wedding cake, guests were treated to an ice cream sundae bar. Live music played and dancing ensued as the sun set on one of the longest days of the year.
