Back to School

As event planners we often say that we spend the fall and winter months in “planning” mode while summer is the time we execute for event season. September almost feels like we are going to back to school as we begin to spend more time in the office as the 2016 season draws to a close and we look to 2017! Here are 9 of our favorite desk essentials for the year ahead.

Pictured from top left to right:

  1. Appointed Workbook in Navy – Our go to brand for modern, monogrammed desktop products that elevate the work experience. These notebooks offer durable heavyweight covers and a pocket to store swatches and business cards. Bonus – all of Appointed’s products are American Made!
  2. Corkcicle Canteen – Keep your beverages cold for 24 hours or hot for 12 hours in a sleek thermos. It will look chic on your desk and also works perfectly for travel or meetings on the go!
  3. Motivation Pen Set – “Bust a Move”…”Make it Happen” …”You Got This”….with this pen set, you’ll have the perfect writing utensil for any occasion.
  4. Sugar Paper Organization Rack – Store hanging files or your favorite bridal magazines to avoid clutter and keep your desk tidy.
  5. Pineapple Mousepad  – incorporate a fun pattern or cheeky design to your desk with a fun mousepad! Etsy has tons of great options.
  6. XOXO Note Set – stock up on pretty stationery to send to important co-workers and clients!
  7. Straight Up Magic Sticky Note Set – at ADIM we adore sticky notes and always have them handy on our desks.
  8. 2017 Blush Agenda – this gorgeous planner combines beauty and function! Perfect for tracking daily appointments and to-do lists!
  9. Strike Gold Stapler – it may seem silly to splurge on luxurious desk supplies like this gorgeous gold and lucite stapler, but some days they truly can inspire and help you work better 🙂

Dear Lauren & Michael,

This past weekend was a dream! Watching you exchange vows before your dearest friends and family in Glen Arbor, a place that was the backdrop for the earlier years of your relationship, was truly special! Everyone in attendance could feel the love in the air (perfectly illustrated by the stunning cotton candy colored sunset we witnessed Saturday evening!).

The love you share for one another is remarkable – for the last eleven years you have been devoted to each other and bring out the love and light in one another. You are the perfect pair and we know the best is yet to come now that you are Mr. & Mrs.! We are so thankful to be a part of your story and can’t wait to watch you take on the world together. Thank you for a beautiful weekend and for welcoming us into you and your families’ lives. We adore you and never want to let you go!

xoxo

Feeling Fall

Can you believe we are almost half way through September? As we move into the Autumn months, we can’t wait to embrace the classic styles of the season – warm colors, plaid patterns, rich textures and rustic touches. We are officially ready to cozy up to fall…bring on the blankets and apple cider cocktails!

As nature’s beauty is on full display with the changing leaves, we love incorporating design elements inspired by the outdoors. Beautiful wooden tables, an earthy color palette and antler details are perfect for fall!

We can’t wait to try Jacin Fitzgerald’s Apple Cider Bourbon Cocktail recipe! Perfect for signature cocktails or an autumnal dinner party.

Wedding day attire is a great way to incorporate fall patterns. Plaid shawls are lovely for bridesmaids or you might consider a fun print for the gentleman’s ties or pocket squares!

Autumnal blooms in a rich color palette are truly breathtaking. We adore the romantic effect of garlands paired with glimmering candlelight!

From seasonal crostinis to butternut squash soup appetizers, we love bringing in the warmth of the season to the menu of a party! Don’t forget a decorative fall garnish!

Though the temperatures are cooler in the fall season, an outdoor ceremony beneath a beautiful arbor is truly special. Just be sure to provide guests with custom woolen blankets or pashminas to warm up!

Happy Fall!

Engage 2016 The Breakers

Video by Ray Roman Films

Back in June, Alicia had the opportunity to attend the fabulous Engage! luxury wedding summit at The Breakers in Palm Beach. We were thrilled to have our company present at this exciting industry event. Rebecca and Kathryn, the founders of Engaging Concepts, truly know how to host a conference – there is no better place to exchange ideas, network and socialize with the industry’s best and brightest! While we wish we could join you in Puglia Italy this fall, we are daydreaming and fondly reminiscing about the fun times had the Breakers! For some serious eye candy and event inspiration, just keep scrolling 🙂

ADIM_Bay&Gray

Dear Bay & Gray,

It has been a beautiful whirlwind of five months spent with you both and your families. I can see that your love and devotion to one another, to your family, friends and the world are so special and being able to bring your hearts to forefront of your special day has been a dream. I know we are are a week late on our post (I guess we were having too much fun with you all in Suttons Bay!) but you are far from forgotten.  I wanted to tell you just how much your friendship and trust meant to our team. Seeing you both under the beautiful arch that your grandfather built, surrounded by angels in this world and beyond, was a moment I won’t soon forget. And no matter how turbulent the weather was earlier in the day, the clouds parted and heaven’s rejoiced as you took each other’s hands for the first time as Mr. and Mrs. You have a special place in our hearts and whenever I see waters off Stony Point or hear “Pride and Joy” I will be reminded of the time we spent together. Thank you for being a part of our lives and congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Smith!

xoxo, Lish
